EPASS® ERP Architecture

The architecture is component-based, meaning the entire system comprises components designed to be as independent as possible, following an object-oriented design. These components are employed within the various modules of the system. Additionally, individual components are utilized in custom modules created for specific customer needs, which supplement the standard modules and interact with any EPASS® system module through a standard COM interface. These bespoke extensions can be developed using tools such as Delphi, Visual Basic, Visual C++, and PowerBuilder. The technology employed, a globally recognized standard, enables the customer to opt for a different supplier for these EPASS® system add-ons if necessary.

Technological Concept of ERP EPASS®

• The system is built on COM (Component Object Model) technology and is philosophically grounded in the fundamental principles of OOP (Object-Oriented Programming).
• COM technology is specifically engineered for interoperation among application modules and is integrated at the Windows operating system level.
• The modules constitute a “loose” collection of ActiveX servers communicating solely via COM technology (OLE 2.0). Such a connected system is open, per the COM specification, and can be readily configured to meet customer needs through custom add-ons.
• This approach guarantees seamless integration with Microsoft products.
